In the 6th grade I played my first and only year of organized football. I was the smallest kid on the field but I stood out to the “fans” thanks to my over protective mother. She bought me the largest and safest helmet money could buy. I resembled a bobble-head toy. Being forced to wear that ridiculous helmet traumatized me until the 10th grade. That was the year where I fractured my skull in a bicycle accident, I should have listened to mother.
