José A. Alvarado Jr. (b. 1989) is a visual storyteller devoted to documenting cultural and social issues, as well as human interest stories in the United States and Puerto Rico. His images have been featured in publications such as Village Voice, VICE IMPACT, LENSCRATCH, AINT-BAD Magazine, The Fly Fish Journal, Anglers Journal, Resource Magazine, Brooklyn Vegan, and Bushwick Daily. He is currently based in New York City.
